Today’s students need to know how to use the computer for practical reasons. These skills include typing, saving information, transposing information to other formats, slide show and movie presentations, and photo editing. These skills are taught while working with industry-standard software, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Drive. They will also be instructed on how to use the software to work collaboratively with others together and remotely.
Internet Safety
All students are reminded constantly about the importance of internet safety.
Reliable Sources
Your child will be taught strategies on how to find sources of reliable information that can be used in research, projects, and writing assignments.
PLEASE NOTE
If tutoring is done in your home, a parent MUST be present at all times. Arrangements can also be made to have lessons taught in a public setting like the library or other space that is comfortable and agreed upon. All students are taken as “at-will” clients and services made be cancelled at any time by either party for any reason.
